This orchestral piece was written before I decided to switch over to Music as a field of study. It was written purely out of emotion, what sounded right, and a little knowledge of chord structure. Influences are heavily based in Hans Zimmer, Edward Shearmur, and BT. This music is being used at Eastminster as backtrack for the “My God Story” video series at the Ekklesia service.

Another orchestral piece, written at the same time as “Overcast”, but with a bit more dynamic work. Again, purely written out of the emotion and feel of the time I wrote them. This piece focuses on the differences between peaks and valleys, musically signified by dark, heavy-drums and minor chords which quickly switch over to open, airy major chords.

One day, I decided to dabble with some 8-bit sonic invention. It ended terribly, but I pursued the interest and this was the peak of that musical endeavor. Fairly prominent dual-theme meshing going on here. Towards the end, it strays away from 8-bit into a bit more of a modern feel. I just can’t seem to leave a song be, can I?

Written years ago with intent of ironic lyrics (ask me about it sometime), I never got a vocal recording done. In the meantime, the feel of the song has changed a bit to me, and I’m currently working on finalising some of the lyrics so that I can re-record the vocals and hopefully have a finished, fun pop song.

Put this song down on paper while living in my dorm at ORU. With the discovery of BT’s “Emotional Technology” album, I was overly influenced to write a complex, mildly glitchy song with some borderline rap-style lyrics. Too bad I recorded on a crappy mic, three years ago, and you can’t understand what I say. I think I have the lyrics laying around somewhere. May have to find them. Nah.
